Impact100 Greater Peninsula’s goal is to provide high-impact grants that reach under-served populations, support nonprofits, and highlight unmet needs in our community. Through grant-making, we invest in nonprofits financially and partner with them to familiarize ourselves with their programs, services, and the communities they serve. In return, our grant winning organizations assure that our grants allow them to think bigger, move faster, and be more strategic about the work they do and the impact they have in the community.

2020 Grant Recipient:

Peninsula Youth Orchestra

Details: Soundscapes uses music education and performance as tools to foster critical skills in students from early elementary school through early adulthood. Through Soundscapes, students develop confidence, perseverance, concentration, teamwork, and more—skills that help them succeed in school today and become community leaders tomorrow. This summer, Peninsula Youth Orchestra asked Soundscapes to assume management of its 60-year-old program to prevent it from closing its doors. PYO is currently on hiatus due to the pandemic. With support from Impact 100, Soundscapes will keep PYO alive and re-launch it at its full capacity when it is safe to be together again.
